Tommy Roberts jr. Walks 700 kilometers to Berlin
In August 2005 TJ and his Dad decided: We walk from Kempten to Berlin – for a job. In their backs: A lot of impotant awards and many fans, but (or just because of this): The new CD have to become much more better! And not with the contract offers, which would have wanted Tommy to do something else as what he already did with the age of eleven – with his love for the American music. After six weeks and 700 kilometers the two want to ring at Universal Music in order to take their business philosophy with the words: “We have to and we want to create new basic conditions, in order to concentrate on that for what we stand for: Music. More then ever before we should set on young artists, who give new impulses to the music. Future is done. And we do this now “ (Quotation Universal Music)

The day after the day...
Thursday, October 6th, 2005 – Bayreuth

Did you send me the sun? Thank you so much, you are great. After a big breakfast (until now you know that mum is a great cook), we walked to the direction Bayreuth, the home of Richard Wagner. Richi was a good friend of my brother King Ludwig, and I was happy to arrive my home (You know, I played the role of Prince Otto in the King Ludwig Musical).

Byreuth is a nice city, and that what I saw, was very clean, my compliment. Today we had to walk a little bit faster, because in Bindlach some radio presenter, journalists and a nice team of TV-Oberfranken waited for us. An interview before we had a dinner and a report after it was a good change from our normal days.

After the recording back on the road and another interview with the Bayreuther News, also a very nice journalist. I am happy that there so many symphathies with my story – with my person, my family, my music and my “Walk to Berlin”. Some how I am proud of that (if you can say something today).

The man is unlucky, because he doesn´t know,
That he is lucky. That is all.
Who will notice that, will be lucky,
Now and in the same moment. Dostojewski

GROWN – UP
Wendsyday, October 5th, 2005 – 18th Birthday in Hummeltal

Drivers license, able to vote (a little to late). Everything is equal, thanl you so much for all the e-mails, SMS, MMS, calls and the unknown painter on the street, that wrote: “Go TJ go! You can do this, Happy Birthday!”

Well, I have waited so long for my drivers license – and now? I am still marching.... that´s life, bur nevertheless I think I will get enough kilometers on the stage.

The day was so geat, the sun and the colors autunm, which you cannot find in any paint-box of Peter (that is the man from farbe8.com that painted my new CD-Cover), absolutley a dream, if there wern´t the marches to the mountains of the Fränkische Schweiz. Hey Harley friends, we will take a trip to this region (I have my drivers license hahaha).

Also here some friends waited for me , that joined the evening with me. Such a night with my family and friends compensate for everything.

But then there was a little “shock”, Stephan, the man of our agancy, had a long call with the German Musician Agancy, till they said it – normally they just say per mail- but the Hymer RV has no post-box, and after that he called me and said: “Boy, happy birthday and now my present for you: you are nominated for the German Rock & Pop Price 2005 and you have to go to Hamburg on 2005-11-21. I say, I never had such a birthday, alternating hot and cold bath of feelings all the day and no end in sight.

I am just breathing and I thank you all so much. I feel it that you are with every day – even this night if make the laptop an and every half hour bing....bing...bing – an e-mail with all the nice wishes from you, the notices in our guestbook, ecards, and so on: I never walk alone!

The luck is not that, that you can do what you want, but to want what you want to do .” Tolstoi

Who was turning on the clock…
Tuesday, October 4th, 2005 – Pottenstein

To sin is one thing, but the other one is to atone for. Boy, it wa so hard, to walk some kilometers just uphill, and we thought we were some hill – goats. We sweat for the whole weekend (perhaps Dad for the last 10 years), but every step approached us to sausage salat of Mum. The weather was, thank you Good, dry , but it was windy and all the day we had to walk on the federal highway 2, for what we need very high concentration because of the traffic.

With a nice talk with some people from this region we got to know that the next days will be like today, but everything that doesn´t kill us makes us hard ( such a bad proverb).

At 05:15 pm we arrived our finish for today, we reorganised the Hymer RV and now we are sitting a our dinner (with beer sponsored by Edith and Manne). Tomorrow it´s my birthday, but because of our march tomorrow, we have to forget to celebrate into the next day. Equal, nevertheless I´m very pleased for tomorrow, and I´m very strained what will be my presents (hopfully no shoes for walking).

Ps: Today we send another post card to Universal Music. So that somebody will be there...
